Feb 16 was the last time we had only 10 people here.

Catalina Cantallops Nicolau joined the list on May 2.
Ana del Valle del Valle joined on March 13, 2024.
Cádiz drops off the list for the first time since March 4, 2024.
The Balearic Islands were making their debut on the list.
December 10, 2025, was the last time there were only three entries aged 112+.
May 2 was the last time there were eight entries aged 111+.
June 20, 2023, was the last list to include someone from Zaragoza (Piedad Loriente Pérez, #4).
Madrid now has two names on the list, just as it did on March 4—the last time that happened.

She was born in Jamaica on 25 June 1915. She came to America from Jamaica in the mid-1960s due to a nursing shortage. She worked as a nurse at Mount Sinai Hospital for 15 years and also cared for children at a local welfare center.

In May 2025, it was reported that she lived in the same nursing home as another 109-year-old, Veronica Pheney, who was less than two months younger than her.

On 27 August 2025, Gwen and Veronica were visited by Ben Meyers, the CEO of LongeviQuest.

Her age was validated by LongeviQuest on 23 August 2025.

Alice Bagley is now the oldest living person in West Yorkshire; she lives in Leeds and was born on February 12, 1919. She is currently the 87th oldest living person in the United Kingdom.
