Oggetto: Ethel Caterham 116th birthday

Hi Ale. I just would like to make a birthday wish for Ethel.

Ethel Caterham, I'm extremely proud of how far you've come as a super centenarian becoming the world's oldest living person, the last surviving person born before 1910, and now the first British person to make it to 116! I am extremely proud of you! Happy birthday!

116th Birthday Project for Ethel Caterham

Ale76 — Thu, 31 Jul 2025 08:03:58 +0000

Greetings everyone,

we are very pleased to announce that we will now begin to collect wishes for Mrs. Caterham’s upcoming 116th birthday!

As most will be aware, that as special as a 116th birthday already is, Ethel’s is even more special, because it will mark the very first time the age of 116 has being reached in the United Kingdom.

So please send in your wishes, creations such as pic collages/your own personal drawings, perhaps a poem… anything you like to make Mrs Caterham happy on her special day.

You can send your wish here in a comment or if you prefer you can send your wish in a private message to myself. You can also email your wish to me at alessandrodelucchi@longeviquest.com or to Georg Fürholzer at georgfuerholzer@longeviquest.com or to Ben Hincbhliffe at benhinchliffe@longeviquest.com

The wish collection is also open on The 110 Club, LQ Facebook group.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we can get (at least) 116 wishes for Mrs. Caterham’s 116th birthday!

IMPORTANT: the deadline for the collection is 17th August at 5pm GMT. All wishes will then be collated by Ben Hinchliffe and sent to Mrs Caterham in time for 21st August.

PLEASE include your name rather than username (just first is ok is you prefer) and your country/city at the end of your message as it will mean far more to Ethel if she can see where in the world her wishes are coming and who from. This may mean you prefer to send your wish (or just your name) privately to one of us, if for example, you prefer your name not to be made public in the comments here.

I look forward to seeing everyone’s wishes and creations in the coming days!

Thanks

Ale
