They were born in what is now in Poland and what is now in Ukraine, respectively. There's a big difference. Still, to make our lives easier, avoid disputes (not going well, appearently) and be more systematic, we use the country codes of present-day countries, so "POL/GER" and "UKR/AUT" – but they were, in fact, born in the German Empire and Austria-Hungary, respectively.

Following your logic: for example Luise Pompe was born in Ukraine, but according for you we should consider it an unimportant fact. Tekla Juniewicz was born in Ukraine, but for you that doesn't matter either.

These are facts, regardless of their ethnicity. therefore, it cannot be said that they were born in their country. What don't you understand?

Should we change his birthplace? According to this article he was born near Danzig (now Gdańsk, Pomorskie, Poland). He could be the oldest known living man born in Poland.

Back when he was born, it was still Germany. By your logic, Augusta Holtz should also be considered a Polish SC.
