Mr. Piragibe Fernandes of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul (BRA) turned 109 y.o.
He was born on 13 December 1916 in the same town.
He married Adyr de Almeida Lima Fernandes, a native of Cambará do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul. After their marriage, the couple moved to São Francisco de Paula, where they built their life together. They have been married for 74 years. They had six children, and the family grew to include four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter by the time he was 108.
Of Italian descent, he has inherited the rich culture and traditions of his ancestors.
