Olga David Fleming, Grenada’s Oldest Resident, Turns 109

Olga David Fleming, the oldest living person in Grenada, celebrated her 109th birthday in Saint Patrick Parish on 14 January. As the first recorded person in Grenada to reach the age of 109, she also holds the title of the country’s oldest person ever. On her birthday, Joseph Andall, Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited her.

Olga David Fleming was born on 14 January 1917.

On 6 October 2023, following the passing of 106-year-old Lizzy Veronica Grenade, she became the oldest known living person in Grenada. At present, she does not hold the title of the world’s oldest living Grenadian-born person; Judith Mends (born 23 June 1916), who lives in New York, USA, holds that distinction.
