I am proud to announce that Catharina Adriana (Catherina) van der Linden has been confirmed alive at the age of 110:
https://amp.abc.net.au/article/101373240
She was born Catharina Adriana van Meegen on 26 August 1912 in Amersfoort, Utrecht, Netherlands and emigrated to Australia in 1955. With Mrs. van der Linden reaching 110, this means that she is;
* The first ever Dutch-Australian supercentenarian.
* The first Dutch emigrant supercentenarian since Wilhelmina Hoorn, who died on 30 November 2013 at the age of 110 years, 24 days in Altamonte Springs, Florida, United States.
* The first oldest living Dutch-born person outside of the Netherlands since Grace Dyksterhuis, who died on 9 September 2014 in Guelph, Ontario, Canada at the age of 109 years, 278 days.
I am in possession of her 1912 birth certificate and her 1940 marriage certificate. I also found her 1955 immigration record, which I am about to purchase from the NAA (National Archives of Australia).
Happy birthday / Van harte gefeliciteerd, Catherina van der Linden!

Amazing news! Happy birthday Catherina van der Linden
Interested in Gerontology since: May 13th 2016
Currently working on Catherina van der Linden's validation report. Have we ever had an aunt-niece supercentenarian pair before? Catherina's mother, Cornelia Maria Verstallen, was Marie Ribbens-Verstallen's (1873-1983) sister.
Overduidelijk misschien.
