Mrs. Elizabeth Francis of Houston, Texas, USA has celebrated her 113th birthday.

She was born in St. Mary Parish, Louisiana (USA) on 27 July 1909 and she currently lives with her daughter in Houston, Texas (USA). She is the oldest known person living in the U.S. state of Texas. 

Ms. Francis' sister Bertha Johnson (1904–2011) lived to the age of 106, making them one of the oldest sibling pairs.
