Mrs. Isabel Gomes Sarmento, the oldest living person from Portugal celebrates today her 112th birthday. Her parents were from Moimenta da Beira, Portugal and emigrated to Brazil, where she was born on 27 December 1910. Later, at age of 9, she came to Portugal with her family.
She resides with her daughters, some times in Moimenta da Beira and other times in Amarante, Porto.
