The world has now the two over 116 (the same number as my username) years old living person & with Misao Okawa, Osaka prefecture now has 2 of 116+ years old in history.

Greetings, there are a few main reasons I say we should focus on one day at a time. One is to avoid the disappointment of someone dying that we expected to be alive in the future. But another is to avoid writing someone off when in fact they might still be alive in the future. I think it's not good to make too much of 'predictions' as to who will be with us in the future. Instead, let's appreciate each day as it comes, and in this case we can celebrate this woman reaching the age 116 milestone against the odds, defying expectations. Hopefully Fusa Tatsumi's story can be an inspiration. We should all spend more time hugging pillows and loving others, and less time debating and disputing.
