Ms. Erna Brosig - of Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany - turns 113 tomorrow. She was born on 15 January 1911. Happy 113th birthday!

It's great to see that slowly but surely, Germany has started producing 113-year-olds on a regular basis – let's hope this trend continues.

If you ask her about the balance of her long life, Erna Brosig answers briefly:
“Some were nice,” she says, “others weren’t.”
The senior woman gives the impression of a woman who is full of life and content.
“She wants the good Lord to take her to him,” says her son. “But that’s what she’s wanted for 20 years.”

@mrcatlord This article is released on 15th January 2024. The photo is a new one, but I think taken a few days before her 113th birthday.
Some passages like 'I will celebrate the birthday with my mother in a more private setting', point to an earlier report.
It is an interesting new report with many facts of Ms. Brosig´s life.
So were she exactly was born and that she married in 1929. She gave birth to two sons. Her oldest son deseaced and when alive would have been now in his 90th.
The younger son will turn 80 this year.
It was a very nice, long and informativ article, but I could read it only once; after the access were denied.

She definitely looks healthier in that photo than the one in the article posted at the top of this thread, where her eyes seemed to be closed. Maybe she was sleeping in that one?

@mrcatlord , sure she not slept. Her strength is weakening, she speaks quietly but Ms. Brosig is mentally alert.
