Ms. Fuyo Kishimoto ( 岸本ふよ) of Kyoto City, Kyoto pr. (JPN) turned 114 years old.
She was born in Hamasaka (now part of the town of Shin’onsen), Hyōgo pr. (JPN) on 20 December 1911.
About a week before turning 114, Ms. Kishimoto moved to a different nursing home where her daughter lives, and she has been living there peacefully.
In September 2024 she was reported as the oldest living person in Kyoto Prefecture.
Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Yumi Yamamoto and Miyuki Ōmae, and validated by LongeviQuest on 22 October 2023.
She is the Vice-Doyenne of Japan.
