Ms. Harue Baba of Saito City, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, on 20 March 2025, celebrated her 111th birthday in good health there. On the day, she met with her family and reportedly told them herself that she was feeling well. During the day, she participates in recreational activities with other residents and is able to write her own name by hand. She has a strong appetite and is able to eat by herself.

She was born on 20 March 1914 in Nishimera Village, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, as the second of four siblings and the eldest daughter. She married in her 20s, and had two children.
