During her professional career, she taught music to several generations of students at the León Conservatory of Music and at Juan del Enzina High School. She traveled throughout Europe, performing in concerts with her students, and kept a collection of classical music records at home at a time when such recordings were difficult to obtain. A deeply religious woman and a co-founder of the NGO Manos Unidas in León, she always sought the company of younger friends in order to maintain a youthful spirit.
She never married and had no children, but she was surrounded by many nephews and nieces.
Happy 110th Birthday!
