Mrs. Ludmila Zemanová of Smichov, Prague, Czech Republic, sadly passed away between 1 June 2023 and 31 August 2023 at the age of 109 (the czech pension payment for the month of Sep. '23 confirms only one living 109-year-old pensioner who was Ms. Adamičková). At the time of her death, she was the 2nd OLP known in Czech Republic.

Mrs. Zemanová was born in Prague (Czech Republic) on November 4, 1913.

Mrs. Zemanova was one of three last surviving persons in the Czech Republic born in 1913, all of who reached the age of 109. The other two were: Bedřiška Adamičková of Prague (06.10.1913 – 01.09.2023) and Zdeňka Kašparová of Úvaly, Central Bohemia (03.04.1913 – 13.03.2023).

Rest in peace Ms. Zemanová.

Is it sure she has died? The latest data of ČSSZ confirming one 109-year-old in Prauge is as of 30 September, I believe Adamičková was removed by then, given her death having occured almost a month earlier. The post on GW is not convincing either. Unless there's private confirmation by Petr Lachnit, I don't think it can be concluded that she has passed away.

Petr Lachnit has answered my own inquiry:

Mrs. Ludmila Zemanová unfortunately died in the first half of 2023.

May she rest in peace.

I don't know if there's any other country that's as unlucky with semi-supercentenarians as the Czech Republic. Out of the last nine residents to reach 108 years and 11 months, nobody reached 110. And the 1913 bubble has now burst. Let's hope we'll see a Czech supercentenarian (or more) at the end of the decade.
