Sad news:

Ágoston Istvánné Jobbágy (née Ilona Visi) - of District XI, Budapest - sadly passed away on 3 October 2024, at the age of 109 years, 59 days. She was born on 5 August 1915, in Rákosszentmihály (now part of District XVI, Budapest).

Ilona was the second-oldest living person in Hungary. Her husband, renowned tailor Ágoston István Jobbágy (1909-2009) also lived to be a centenarian. She was also a great friend of famous Hungarian dancer and actress Ilona Medveczky.

Her death was confirmed by a reporter who visited her in August and made this intriguing report with her.
