Mrs Kimi Kitahata (北畑きみ) of Echizen, Fukui, Japan, the oldest living person in the prefecture, died around 27 June 2024, aged 109. She was born on 5 March 1914.
May she rest in peace.

Do you know who the oldest person in Fukui is now? And the oldest man in that place?

There's actually an obituary / press release too, but I cannot access it. This might identify her successor.
