Austin C. Herr, 109, passed away peacefully Friday, January 17, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Lucille M. (nee James); Loving father of the late Marilyn K. Perz (Dennis) and Laureen G. Orzechowski (Jerry); Cherished grandfather of Stephen Perz, Alyssa Perz, Aimee Jackson (Gilbert), Elizabeth Perz, Jeffrey Orzechowski (Sheri), Jennifer Balint (Tim) and Heather Hampton; Loving great-grandfather of 15.

Austin was born November 5, 1915, in Brooklyn, Ohio, he was born in his grandmother's home. From the beginning, Austin was described as a handy, inventive, economical, and intellectually inclined. Throughout his life, Austin had many accomplishments to be known for: a Case Western Reserve and Fenn College graduate, an Electrical Engineer at NASA for 24 years, building two homes from the ground-up, traveling the world- approximately all the states, and living through many different eras in time. He thoroughly enjoyed photography, gardening, nature, and time spent with his family.

Austin was known to countless as Dad, Grandpa, GreatPa, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. He remained a humble man within these 109 years. He will be remembered in everyone's hearts for generations to come.
