Mrs Fusae Miyamoto (宮本フサエ) of Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Japan - the oldest living person in the prefecture - died on 27 April 2023, aged 111. She was born on 15 October 1911.

The prefectural report also mentions the death of the oldest living man in the prefecture, 108-year-old Isamu Mitsumasu (光増勇) of Higashihiroshima, who died on 12 May 2023. He was born on 28 April 1915.

May they both rest in peace.

Mrs Miyamoto's successor as oldest living person in Hiroshima prefecture is 110-year-old Tokie Nakayama (中山登喜枝) of Mihara, born on 5 June 1912.
