Ms. Ioanna Proiou-Dimitriadou of Raches, Icaria, Greece sadly died on 5 April 2023 at the claimed age of 111 years, 277 days. She claimed to be born in Raches, Icaria (GRE) on 2 July 1911, where she spent her entire life.
At the time of her death, she claimed to be the oldest living person in the entire Balkan Peninsula.

It is not a questionable case. If we are going to stick to the rule that someone is a questionable case just because it has not been investigated, then all other cases from around the world that are unverified should be labeled as questionable cases, not only people from certain regions.
She is also famous for many reasons and there are many news reports about her as well as photos from her 100th birthday up until 111.
Moreover, she was the last known living person from Greece born before 1914 and the last person in the Balkans born before 1913.
