Consistent with references elsewhere on the forum, Mr Reuben Sinclair of Canada is reported to have passed away on 28 August 2023, at the age of 111 years and 266 days.
Mr Sinclair was Canada’s oldest surviving World War 2 veteran. He was also the oldest living man in Canada from 12 February 2022 until his passing.
Rest in Peace Mr Reuben Sinclair.

Rest in peace, Mr Sinclair.
The day he died is still in doubt. This video report mentions he "passed away this weekend," so on 26 or 27 Aug. However, this video report mentions he "died on Monday," so on 28 Aug.
Also, @chrisr , Mr Sinclair was born in 1911. 🙂

Very sad news, I was hoping that he could broke the record of James McCoubrey's 111 years and 295 days.
Following his death Gisaburo Sonobe became the last 1911-born validated man in the world. How time flies.

Remember that if he had lived another week past McCoubrey he would have beaten Arthur Nash, a British-born man who resided in Canada. So that’s two records he was a month short of. In fact he was 35 days short of Nash’s record which is the same amount of days Israel Kristal (also a Jewish male) was short of reaching 114. Still, Reuben remains the oldest man to have lived his entire life in my country

Mr. Sinclair died on August 27th, so his final age is 111 years, 265 days. This date of death was also privately confirmed by a GW contributor who contacted his congregation.
