Ms. Elizabeth Francis, the oldest person in the USA and 3rd oldest person in the world, sadly passed away on 22nd October at the age of 115 years and 89 days.
She was born in Louisiana, USA on 25 July 1909.
She was the oldest person in the world who lives at home rather than in a care facility.
RIP Ms. Francis.

She was the 59th oldest person in history, 24th oldest in US history, her successor, Naomi Whitehead is the 79th oldest in US history, She is the oldest person in history born in Louisiana and also the oldest to die in Texas, she remained 243 days as the oldest in the country the shortest time since Lessie Brown, who remained 103 days (27 September 2018-8 January 2019) was the youngest to die in that position since Bessie Hendricks who died at 115 years, 57 days on 3 January 2023, she was the second resident of Texas to be the oldest in the US, the other was Eunice Sanborn, who died on 31 January 2011
