Ms. Hildegard (Hilda) Rau - of Leingarten Großgartach, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany - sadly passed away on 29 July 2024, two days shy of her 112th birthday,

aged 111 years and 364 days. She was born on 31 July 1912 and was currently the 3rd oldest known living German SC.

She was the 24th oldest person in Europe, the 20th oldest person in German history, the 3rd oldest person in history to die in Baden-Wuerttemberg (she was the 2nd oldest living person, behind Charlotte Kretschmann), but the oldest person in history to be born there (now the oldest living person to be born and living there is Elenor Sprecher born on 8 October 1913 and the 73rd oldest person in the country's history).
