Jens Peter Westergaard passed away at 110 years and 88 days and was the oldest man in Denmark since 9 Oct 2020 (3 years and 287 days), the longest since Johannes W Hansen, who died on 13 Sept 1976 and was 6 years old, 176 days as Denmark's oldest man.Jens is the oldest man to die in Denmark in history and the 8th man in Syddanmark in history to be considered the oldest man in the country. He was the 4th oldest living person in the Nordic countries and the oldest living man in that region and the 58th oldest person in the history there, the 7th oldest living man living in the Europe. He was the 2nd oldest living person in Denmark. He is the 103rd oldest man in the history of Europe, he was the 99th oldest living person in Europe, he is the 194th oldest man in history

May he RIP. π He passed away around half a year earlier than I expected he would, but it's still great that he reached age 110 and was thus the first Danish non-emigrant male to become a SC. He was also barely able to come within 5.5 years of Christian Mortensen's final age.

RIP Mr. Westergaard, Denmark's oldest man ever
If Georg Jensen was Denmark's equivalent of what Pierre Gremion was for Switzerland, then Jens Peter Westergaard was Denmark's equivalent of what Maurice Butty was for Switzerland. In the first case, a national male recordholder narrowly failed to reach age 110, and in the second case, a national male recordholder broke the previous record a decade or so later and surpassed his 110th birthday by a couple of months.
