Ms. Maria Farrugia - of Ħamrun, Malta - sadly passed away on 23 December 2024, aged 112 years, 291 days. She was born on 7 March 1912 and was the oldest person to ever live in Malta. May she rest in peace.

She was the 33rd oldest living person in the world, she is the oldest person born in 1912 who has died to date, She is the oldest person in the history of Malta, her successor as the oldest person living in Malta is the 3rd oldest person in history, Grace Gatt born on 30 Jan 1916
She is the 127 oldest person in European history,595 oldest person in history.
She died at the same age as Irma Schmidt 7 Oct 1898 25 July 2011 USA
