Mary Lois Burkett, the oldest person in the American state of Mississippi, passed away on 14 September 2024 at the age of 110. She was born in Los Angeles, California on 2 January 1914. She became the oldest Californian-born person after the death of Maria Branyas Morera

She was the 39th oldest living person in the US, the oldest person born in California now is Yoshiko Miwa, born on 28 Feb 1914 and the oldest living in Mississippi now, does anyone know? Her death leaves Maria Liesse Callou Duarte (BRA) as the oldest living person born in 1914, she shares the same birth date with Burkett, January 2, 1914.
