May she RIP. π Very sad to die of cancer even as a supercentenarian. π
She is the 7th oldest person in the history of Kagoshima, she was the oldest living person in Kagoshima since approximately 31 Jan 2023, (1 year and 156 days), the longest time since Kikue Tanaka who was between 19 May 2018 and 15 Jan 2020 (1 year and 241 days), Kikue died at 112 years, 324 days and Sueko Katsu is the oldest since then in Kagoshima, and first person living in Setouchi to be considered the oldest in Kagoshima
Does anyone know who the oldest person in Kagoshima is now?
He was the 49th oldest living validated person in the world, tied with Sata Mizukami, 25th oldest validated person in Japan, also tied with Sata. 783rd oldest person in history, 178th oldest person in the history of Japan (validated)
RIP
Rest in Peace, Mrs. Sueko Katsu (1912-2024)
How many SCs are there that have died of cancer? I believe Weighton and Andel-Schipper did too. Sangenito received treatment for cancer last year according to LQ's recent article
@mrcatlord Torinosuke Iida (1909-2020) died of stomach cancer.
Interested in supercentenarians since 27 July 2018.
First supercentenarian I learned about: Kane Tanaka (1903-2022)
