Yesterday Niigata Prefecture (Japan) announced that the oldest former living person in the prefecture, a 111-year-old woman, had passed away.

She was born on 29 September 1913 and she lived in Tsubame City.

At the request of the family, residence, name, and date of death have not been made public.

With the death of this anonymous lady, the newly oldest living person in Niigata Prefecture is a 110-year-old woman living in Sanjō City.
