Mrs. Hazel Skuce, the doyenne of Canada, sadly passed away on 3 January 2025, aged 112 years and 331 days.
She was born on 7 February 1912.

She is the oldest person born in 1912 to die to date
#19 oldest person in Canadian history (her successor is #22), 2nd oldest person born in Manitoba and oldest person in history to die in Manitoba
She remained 192 days as the oldest person in Canada, the longest time since Mabel Mah (between her and Hazel we had 2 people as the oldest in the country) who remained between January 6, 2023 and January 30, 2024 (1 year, 24 days), she died at 112 years, 331 days and is the oldest to die in this position since Mabel Mah who died at 113 years, 210 days. Hazel is the first person from Manitoba to be considered the oldest person in Canada
She is the 560th oldest person in history and was the 29th oldest living person in the world
