Mr. Jan van Ierland of Bloemendaal, North Holland (NLD) sadly passed away yesterday 21 July 2025, aged 111.
He was born on 5 May 1914.
He was the Doyen of the Netherlands and one of the 5 documented OLM in Europe.
Rest in peace, Mr. van Ierland.

Ik had stiekem de hoop dat u het Nederlandse record voor oudste man zou aanscherpen, maar helaas mocht het niet zo zijn. Niettemin, wat heeft u een fantastisch leven geleid, chapeau!

He is the 11th oldest person in the history of the Netherlands, the 4th oldest man in the country's history (I'm considering John Huang here), the 23rd oldest person in the history of Benelux, and the 160th oldest man in history.
He is the 5th oldest person born in 1914 to die so far.
