The oldest living person in Gunma Prefecture, Japan is Mrs. Kiyomi Katō (加藤きよみ) from Maebashi City sadly passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 110 years old.
She was born on March 29, 1914.
The new oldest living person in Gunma Prefecture is 110-years-old Mrs. Oiku Hashimoto (橋本オイク) from Ōra Town.

県内の最高齢者だった前橋市の加藤きよみさんが5日、110歳で死去した。1914（大正3）年生まれだった。県によると、加藤さんの死去に伴い、県内の最高齢者は邑楽町の110歳、橋本オイクさんとなった。

She is the 11th oldest person in Gunma history, she was the oldest person in Gunma since 7 Feb 2024 (1 year, 26 days) the longest since Shige Kobayashi who lived 1 year and 98 days and died on 24 July 2022. She died at the age of 110 years 341 days the oldest person in Gunma since Shige Kobayashi herself who died at 111 years, 328 days, she is the 5th person from Maebashi to be the oldest in Gunma the first since Hana Saito, who died on 29 Mar 2013
She is the 5th oldest person born in 1914 to die so far
