Ms. Mine Kondō (近藤ミネ) of Kōta town, Aichi Prefecture (JPN), who was the oldest living person in Japan and the 3rd oldest living person in the world, sadly passed away on 20 May 2025 at the age of 114 years and 261 days.

She was born on 1 September 1910.

Rest in peace Ms. Kondō.

She is the 99th oldest person in the world in history, tied with Eugenie Blanchard 16 Feb 1896 4 Nov 2010 114 years, 261 days Saint Barthélemy (France) BLM, FRA
Among the people born in 1910 she is the oldest to die so far
She is the 23rd oldest person in the history of Japan, and the 3rd oldest in the history of Aichi
Now the oldest person in Aichi is Ito Kato born on 20 Sept 1914 (16th in the history of Aichi), I don't know where she lives, does anyone have this information? She was the oldest person in Japan for 24 days, the shortest time since Shitsu Nakano (13 Aug 2007 - 19 Aug 2007) (6 days)
She is the youngest person to die as the oldest person in Japan since Kaku Yamanaka who died on 5 Apr 2008 at 113 years, 116 days, who was also the last person from Aichi to be considered the oldest in Japan, there are 3 in history
She was the oldest in Aichi since 2 Mar 2023 (2 years, 79 days), the longest time since Kiku Hori who was between 14 Apr 2020 and 14 Aug 2022 (2 yrs, 122 days), the oldest to die in this position since Shimoe Akiyama who died at 115 years, 255 days on 29 Jan 2019
She is the 2nd person from Toyota to be the oldest in Aichi, the first since Ken Ishikawa who died on 20 May 2012
