Her family informed us that this morning, 23 January 2026, Ms. Milka Bauković Radivojević, the oldest living person in Serbia, died in Belgrade, at age of 110 years, 352 days. She died only 12 days before her 111th birthday, as the second oldest person in the history of Serbia.
About 10 days ago, she had a mild stroke and did not struggle much.
Ms. Bauković was born in Papići, Sisak-Moslavina County, Austria-Hungary (present-day Croatia). At the age of 25, she married Dušan Bauković and moved to Okučani, Brod-Posavina County, Croatia where she spent most of her life. In 1990, she moved to the capital of Serbia.
She became the oldest known living person in Belgrade and Serbia, following the death of 110-year-old Tamara Krutikov on 6 July 2022.

She is the person who held the title of oldest in the country for the longest time (3 years, 201 days) since Jelisaveta Veljković, who held it from April 15, 2011 to October 20, 2016 (5 years, 186 days).
She is also the oldest person to die in that position since Jelisaveta Velijkovic, who died at 112 years, 94 days.
She is the 7th person from Belgrade to be the oldest in Serbia, 7 in a row.
She is the 8th oldest person in the history of the Balkans; her successor as the oldest woman in the Balkans is Paladia Noja, born on July 20, 1915 in Romania and the 11th oldest woman in the history of the Balkans.
She is the 2nd oldest person born in 1915 to die.
