She was daughter of José Altagracia Hernández Aragónez and Ana Peña Cueto. She had 3 siblings: Paula, Eligia and Ireneo. Her grandparents were Pedro Peña Alvarez, Blasina Cueto, Pedro Aragonez and Tomasina Hernández Santana She married to Braulio Pascual González and had 6 children with him: Félix María, Paula, José Amado, Digna Mercedes, Ana and León. Manuela died in the same place on 31 January 2020, at the documented age of 112 years, 228 days (claimed 113/114).
