Biography

Stojna Budimirović was born in the village of Rakova Bara, municipality of Kučevo, then Austria-hungary, possibly on 1 May 1894. Her father's name was Petar Budimirović, Stojna married twice. She never had children. In the last years of her life, she lived alone. She liked to drink brandy. She died in the village Rakova Bara, Serbia, on 9 May 2003 at the age of 109 years, 8 days.

At the time of her death she was the oldest living person in Serbia. For a while, she was the oldest Serbian woman ever. After her death, then 108-year-old Kostadina Šimbo, who was born on 5 December 1894 in Greece, became the claimed oldest known person in Serbia.

Claimed that she was born in 1891, but according to the register of deaths for 2003, it says that she was born in 1894. She was known as Stojna Pavlović, however according to the documents she kept her surname Budimirović, Pavlović is probably the surname of her first or second husband.
