Why hasn't LAS made Vicente Alfredo Granados Brito (1889-1998) pending yet? At age 109.5+, surely he would have been one of Mexico's oldest living men in 1998, no?

To clarify: Liova is female, right? LAS lists her as female but I want to make sure that it's not a typo or anything.

New pending supercentenarian x1 (14 November 2022):

Vertulie Giordani (18 March 1904 - 30 October 2016), aged 112 years, 226 days. Born in Haiti, died in Florida (USA).

Since we had the first documented cases from Haiti, we didn't know if adding them on LAS or not, but we decided to do it since we would be the only organization to represent the country.

It makes sense to add them to LAS in my honest opinion since French is a Latin language and thus Haiti could plausibly be said to be a part of Latin America, especially also given its geography.

Joaquim Saraiva Lessa (12 Sep 1904 - 16 Aug 2015), aged 110 years, 338 days, of Brazil

João Paulo de Souza (16 Jun 1902 - 20 Dec 2012), aged 110 years, 187 days, of Brazil

A fourth Brazilian man was also added to LAS today. His case had enough documentation found for him to be validated:
