Regrettably, in terms of supercentenarian deaths for verified persons in the 113+ group, 2022 appears to have equalled the record for most 114+ deaths - at 15.

That mark was also reached in 2015.

By comparison the worst year for total verified 113+ deaths, was 2019 when we appear to have lost 27.

Quite likely all numbers in recent years will continue to increase if numerous deceased cases from these years are subsequently validated.

For now, there are only 7 verified 113 year-old deaths for 2022, but that reflects the very low number of validated persons at that specific age, hence it could increase quite substantially in the near future.

As of today - 383 of the 398 verified 113+ persons have passed away.
