When Ina Okazawa died, 9 Aug 2024, the number of 114+ on the list dropped to 10 and returns to 11 again after almost 4 months
If Fujiko Mihara and Masu Usui (today is her birthday, by the way) are confirmed alive, we will already have 13,114+

It’s also worth noting that we have another four ladies currently on track to reach 114 in January 2025.

I would like to know if Masu Usui and Fujiko Mihara are alive as they both turned 114 but I haven't seen any confirmation.

Edit: Masu Usui was confirmed alive by Longeviquest and celebrated her 114th birthday.

Since the list of June 20, 2024, we have not had 12 114+ (with the birthday of Silveria Martin Diaz) in the table, in the list of July 16, 2024 it fell to 11 with the death of Masa Matsumoto on July 9.
Japan returns to having 7 representatives in the list, returning to the level of October 23, 2024.
Since May 19, 2023, the second-leading country in the table did not have 4 representatives in the list, at the time it was the USA.
For the first time, Brazil has 4 names in the list.

Based on historical trends it’s quite amazing to see the USA with just one in the top 20.
