How long has it been since only 1 person was living at 115 or older? I don't think we've been so close to a 114-year-old WOP for many years!

From what I can see the world's oldest person has been at 115.00 or higher, since the 115th birthday of Besse Cooper on 26 August 2011 - so that record is in potential danger until the (hopeful) 115th birthday of Marie Rose Tessier on 21 May.

Misao Okawa appears to have been the only 115 year old alive from the death of Jiroemon Kimura on 12 Jun 2013 - until the 115th birthday of Gertrude Weaver on 4 July 2013. Of course this assumes GW was no older than the 4 July 1898 birthdate validated. 

Brazil returns to having only 4 names for the first time since 27 Dec 2024
USA returns to having 4 names for the first time since 19 May 2023
Japan briefly dropped to 4 names, which is the lowest number since the list began to be published here, but returned to 5
Inah has been on this list since the beginning here, she started at #14, she was the only one who was there since the beginning (27 May 2022)
Ethel debuted on the list on 27 Dec 2022
