Vesla Hansen was born on April 28th, 1919 in Norway and lived to the remarkable age of 107. A descendant of the famed local giant of Setesdal, she was the last surviving sibling of Nils, Ommund, Ingeborg (Mossa), and Edgar Tornes. While living in Kristiansand and working as a beautician, she met the love of her life, Norman Hansen, who had just been sent by family to live in Norway after the death of his mother in America.

 

Ms. Ruth Ingeborg Rothschädl née Klaeboe - of Köflach, Styria, Austria - sadly passed away on 2 August 2024, aged 106 years and 282 days.

She was born on 25 October 1917 in Hadsel, Norway and emigrated in 1945 to Austria and 1950 with her husband Hans to Köflach, West-Styria, were she now died. At the time of her death, Ms. Rothschädl was one of the 20 oldest known living people in Austria.
