If he were still living, today would have been Mr. Salvatore Caruso's 117th birthday! But he sadly passed away on December 22, 2015 at the age of 110 years and 50 days. Mr. Caruso was the first supercentenarian I learned about, when he was alive and did an interview with National Geographic. I really wish that he was still with us, and that I could've met him. He was a very disciplined man who followed a strict plant based, low protein diet and a huge inspiration for me to eat healthier. Happy Birthday Mr. Caruso!
