Ushi Makishi was born on February 25, 1909 in Okinawa pr. (JPN).
On 6 August 2021, at the age of 112, she received her second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, making her one of the oldest known supercentenarian to receive the vaccine.
Ms. Makishi currently lives in Chatan, Okinawa Prefecture (JPN).
As of January 19, 2023 Mrs. Makishi is the 10th-oldest validated living person in the World, the 5th-oldest validated living person in Japan behind Ms. Tatsumi (115.7), Ms. Itooka (114.7), Ms. Ono (114.6), Ms. Okai (114.2) and the oldest known living person in Okinawa pr.

On 17 January 2023, following the sad passing of Sister André, Ms. Makishi became the 9th-oldest validated living person.
On 6 February 2023, following the sad passing of Ms. Okai, Ms. Makishi became the 8th-oldest validated living person.
