Angelica Tiscornia was born in Gualeguay, Entre Ríos Province, Argentina, on 22 August 1912. She had six siblings, all of whom she outlived. At some point, she got married and went on to have a daughter named Marta. She outlived her only daughter, who passed away due to heart problems. In 1973, she moved to the city of Buenos Aires.

At some point, she moved into a nursing home. Following her daughter’s passing, her closest living relative became her nephew, who was 80 years old as of 2021. In mid-May 2020, she was hospitalized for COVID-19. 

She became the oldest known (documented) living person in Argentina, following the death of 113-year-old Ms. Barletta on 12 May 2025.

Her age was validated by LongeviQuest on 30 January 2024.

As of 19 June 2025, she lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina as one of the 30 fully validated World's OLP.

Angélica Tiscornia, Argentina’s Oldest Living Person, Turns 113

The oldest known living person in Argentina, Angélica Tiscornia, celebrated her 113th birthday in Buenos Aires on August 22nd.

The director of her nursing home informed LongeviQuest that Angélica Tiscornia spent a delightful day celebrating, enjoying cake and traditional Argentine dishes, accompanied by a violinist performing at her side, and surrounded by the company of fellow residents.
