Isabel Barletta was born on 12 September 1911 in Flores, Buenos Aires, Argentina. The family later moved to a house her father and brothers had built on José Martí Street.
Her father was an Italian immigrant.
She attended elementary school on Francisco Bilbao Street. Later, she studied drawing, painting and Art History at the Fernando Fader school.
Her younger sister, Deolinda, was alive in January 2020, aged 104.
She is currently the oldest known validated living person in Argentina since the death of 115-year-old Ms. Benegas on 28 June 2022.
As of June 28, 2024, she still lives in Flores, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

At the age of 102.
On her 107th birthday in 2018.
Aged 110 in July 2022.
Aged 111 in January 2023.
