Whilst April 25th is undoubtedly Fusa Tatsumi’s special day, we sincerely hope for the 113th Birthday of Mrs Taira tomorrow.

This is still an excellent achievement for any supercentenarian, but with her sister Kame Ganeko having made 114-191, we’d have two siblings who each made 113+.

An amazing outcome (hopefully) tomorrow.

The two of them are just a few weeks off a combined age total of 228 years now.

if achieved that will of course represent an average age of 114.0 for two siblings, which woild be an incredible statistic.

The difference between their combined age and that of next-oldest siblings is more than the difference between Calment and Tanaka. They’re already huge outliers and hopefully Kikue can keep going for a while to make that gap even bigger and maybe even surpass her sister (which would be around Halloween in 2024 I think)
