Kiyo Itō was born in Akkeshi, Hokkaido pr., Japan on 8 November 1911.
In September 2023, she was the fourth-oldest living person in Hokkaido Prefecture, after Ms. Matsubara, an anonymous lady from Sapporo, and Ms. F. Matsuda.
Following Matsubara’s passing on 16 January 2024, she became the oldest living person in Hokkaido Prefecture.
She is currently the third-oldest living person in Japan, behind Ms. Hiroyasu and Ms. Kagawa.
As of 9 July 2025, she lives in Kushiro, Hokkaidō pr., Japan.
