Greetings from Barcelona, Spain
It's an honor and pleasure to announce to everyone here that the LongeviQuest team visited today, 3 March 2023, one day before her 116th birthday, to the oldest living person in the world, Mrs. Maria Branyas Morera. The CEO and director of LongeviQuest; Mr. Ben Meyers, the commissioner and director of America; Mr. Fabrizio Villatoro (me), and the main researcher and recent member of LongeviQuest; Mr. Eduardo Garcia, visited Mrs. Branyas Morera on behalf of the organization.
Maria's relatives were very kind, cooperative and very enthusiastic and happy to receive us very early in the morning at the nursing home in Olot, Girona, where Maria lives. During the visit, LongeviQuest congratulated her and gave her some gifts for her very good-long life and her interesting feat of reaching the age of 116, a cake of delicious red fruits, the printing of birthday wishes, drawings and letters that the dear members of the 100 Club, they were kind enough to post, I personally printed them all and put them on a long colorful paper, Maria thanked and was happy to read your wishes (if you did there), thank you very much, really! She appreciated it and thanked to all of you. Maria also enjoyed the official LongeviQuest trophy recognizing her as the "world's oldest living person".
It is a privilege that the family was very honored to receive us there as well, at her residence, despite the fact that the family rejected many media and journalists. We're deeply thanked her family for giving us permission to be there with her. Thank you very much.
Maria retains lucidity, she's very active from early in the morning, and can stand up a bit. Personally, I spoke to her face to face and told her: "I came from Mexico to Spain just to meet you", she with a smile and looking me directly in the eyes quickly replied: "Mexico was a beautiful and nice place to me, I was on a boat there when I was a girl, thank you very much for visiting me". Maria, very calm, but aware, attentive and very affectionate, told us about her youth, she loved meeting us and was surprised with a little tears because we went to Olot, Girona, Spain just to meet her, it was a pleasant visit for the LongeviQuest team, and it's which, for this reason, the LongeviQuest team deeply thanks the family for giving us the permission, privilege and honor to visit her. Priceless. Her 78-year-old daughter, Rosa, watches over her health and well-being, and she received us along with her husband at her residence.
Much more other photos are missing, but will get out soon! Be patient, please!

And, obviously, a happy 116th birthday to Mrs Branyas Morera! It's good to see her still engaging with visitors and being in the moment.
It is certainly a beautiful experience, congratulations.
Happy 116th birthday Maria Branyas Morera.
As I read in another topic, I hope that 117 years are within her reach for her to become a legend.
I first learned about her at the age of 113 when she survived covid-19.
