Sudhakar Chaturvedi was a supercentenarian claimant from India who claimed to be born on 20 April 1897 (one day after Jiroemon Kimura), and passed away at the claimed age of 122 years & 313 days. Two mid-life records I found suggest he was actually born on 04 April 1901, and NOT 20 April 1897, and thus reached an age of 118 years and 329 days. There is also evidence that late in life he exaggerated his age by 4 years. Of course, it is not wise to say there is a high likelihood he was born in 1901, because as to my knowledge, no early life records exist, and the odds of a man nearing 119 years old is very unlikely. Still, I wouldn't say his case for reaching 118.9 is impossible, but it is a remote possibility. I have only found 2 records so far.

I also found immigration papers to New York of a man called Har S. Chaturvedi who was reported to be 32 years old in 1932, a birthyear of 1900, and the birthplace matches Sudhakar Chaturvedi's. Unfortunately these papers do not provide a middle initial, and of course the first name does not match. It is worth noting that the surname & birthplace match, and the age is only a year off. Another problem I ran into, is that there is no evidence that he even obtained a U.S. citizenship in New York. However, there is a large gap in his life from 1919 to 1938. Maybe he obtained a citizenship during this time, and never reported it? I don't know.

My Theory: It's possible that "Har" is a title and he decided to use that, while only using an initial for his first name. I don't see a reason to do such a thing, but it's all I could come up with. It's a wild and very farfetched theory, but it's all I've got. This theory is totally NOT backed by anything. 

I think it's unlikely that Mr. Chaturvedi lived 118 years & 329 days, but his case is much more plausible than most other extreme cases.
