She was born on February 11, 1919, in Durban and died on January 20, 2026, in Newlands East, Durban, at the age of 106 years, 343 days.
She worked in a clothing factory and later joined her father, Nelson, in his tailor shop called A.S. Fernandez, located on Pine Street (currently Monty Naicker Road).
Her successor is Griet Messelaar, born on January 1, 1920.
