Maria Carmela Ricci was born on April 16, 1912 in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Benevento, Campania Region (ITA) and she lives in Novara, Piedmont Region (ITA).
She is currently the oldest known living person in the region of Piedmont. She became the oldest known living person in Piedmont following the death of 109-year-old Mr. Nobili on 14 November 2021.
As of January 16, 2025, Ms. Ricci is the 3rd-oldest living person in Italy behind Ms. Sangenito (114.1) and Ms. Fioriglio (113).

On 10th February 2026, following the sad passing of Ms. Tessier, Ms. Ricci became the World's 10th-oldest validated living person.
