She currently lives in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

She is the 10th oldest living person of the world and the Oldest living person in South America.

By mid November 2009 she was recognised as the worlds 7th oldest person, but following the collapse of the 1895 cohort over a period of circa 5.5 months, she became the WOP on 2 May 2010.

By today's standards her age of 114 years 75 days at this date, was comparatively young, though there are numerous very similar examples of others achieving WOP status at similar ages, particularly in the 2007-2010 period.

That said, 114-75 is now the youngest in over 12 years and represents a record that may quite plausibly stand for a long time, IE The youngest WOP from 2010 onwards.

The latter stages of her life also coincided with a period where 13 supercentenarians (including Eugénie) reached 114 but did not go on to 115, between the lifespans of Gertrude Baines and Besse Cooper. 

She died at the age of 114 years and 261 days on 4 November 2010.

Though her age at accession and death are well below other WOP's both before and after her, she did hold two further individual records at the time of her passing.

1. The last known living person at the commencement of the modern Olympic Games  - in April 1896.

2. The oldest Ecclesiastical Person ever at the time of her death - albeit others have now exceeded her achievement.

In my opinion she typically had a lower profile than other WOP's both before and after, quite possibly because of her location, her health and perhaps also her religious vocation. But she retains some excellent longevity achievements almost 12 years after her death.

His final age was 115 years and 252 days. It was the highest male human lifespan record until 27 December 2012, when Jiroemon Kimura of Japan surpass his final age.

He was the world's oldest validated living man between January 20, 1994 and April 25, 1998.

On 4 August 1997, with the death of famous Jeanne Calment of France, she become the oldest validated living person.

She died at the age of 117 years, 230 days, from a blood clot in East Ferris, Ontario on 16 April 1998. Her death make Sarah Knauss the oldest validated living person in the world.

At the time of her death, she was the 2nd longest lived person ever behind only Jeanne Calment, although Shigechiyo Izumi still considered as older than Meilleur, so Meilleur considered as the 3rd place. (Lucy Hannah case was validated in c.2003 and debunked in c.2019.)

By 2022, she remains the 6th oldest person in history, behind Jeanne Calment, Kane Tanaka, Sarah Knauss, Lucile Randon and Nabi Tajima.

For Nabi Tajima case, it is said to be she probably one year younger, so Meilleur might be the 5th. 

He lived in a low-density population, natural-rich region facing the Sea of Japan in Kyoto Prefecture.

He become the GWR's oldest male ever on 27 December 2012 (the day tied the final age of Christian Mortensen), making him the second Japanese person who certified by the GWR as "the oldest male/female ever" title. The other being was Shigechiyo Izumi, but Izumi's record was removed by the GWR in around 2010. It is believed that Izumi's real age was only 105, not 120.

On 19 April 2013 he become the first male person who reach the age of 116 and received a video message from prime minister Shinzo Abe. He passed away on 2:08 (Japanese time), 12 June 2013. His funeral hold on 2 days after his death.

It is said that his true date of birth was March 19, 1897, and he was changed to "April 19" in 1955 due to a mistake in his family register. However, further investigation concluded that he was born on April 19th.

He was also last living male validated person born in 19th century, after the death of James Sisnett of Barbados on 23 May 2013.

She was born on 5 March 1898 in Osaka. She got married in 1919, but her husband died in 1931 and she had to take care of her children her alone. She continued to live in Osaka until her death.

She passed away on 1 April 2015 of a Japanese time (Exactly 7 years before this post made). Her final age was 117 years and 27 days. At the time of her death she was the oldest validated Asian person ever. After her death, Gertrude Weaver becoming the world's oldest validated living person, but Weaver was died just 5 days later.
